Sign up for a free account here:  Slatebox.com

Create a quick MAP of your 11th grade year up until now.  Include:  4 major events with each event having at least 2 sub events.  Use photos, text, etc.

WATCH ANIMAL FARM: (Continuation from previous chapter assignment)
In small groups, or individually, watch PART 1 & 2 ONLY of Animal Farm.  Click the link to watch the YouTube video.  After watching, answer the questions in the "Comment" section at the bottom of the blog.

READING ASSIGNMENT:
Read Chapter 6 & 7 and be prepared for our "Carpet Talk" next class.  While you are reading, I would like you to specifically focus on the changing of the commandments, the windmill incident and the changing demeanor of Napoleon.  We will also spend time talking about the executions!  Be thinking about how this relates to what happened in real life!

1.They use imagery to show how the animals saw the farmer and the situation. Its like when the showed Napolean and Snowball fighting to be in front and when all the animals started working together.
    2. The book is really clear and straight forward but i like how it shows the contrast between Napolean and Snowball because just by seeing them yo see that they arent compatible because of how the fight and act when they are together.
    3. My only question is where is Snowball?????

1- In respect to the amount of help that the video has brought to me, not much can be said as I had my own imagery of the book, some little details where shown such us the totalitarian way that the pigs ruled. Overall it has helped me get a brainmap on the order of the plot.
2-The video supported the book with little facial details and body expressions that otherwise I wouldn't have thought of while reading the novel, the expressions on the pigs' face as leaders helped me understand better the atmosphere breathed in Animal Farm.
3-Where did Jhones and the others farmers ended?

  3. 1- The imagery of the video was very helpful, I had a totally different perspective towards the farm and the characters (like every other reader). The movie helped me have a more visual idea of what the farm was like and I have now a mind map and now every time I read I can relate things better.

2- I think that the contrast that Napoleon and Snowball had in the movie helped me visualise better the situation that the book wants to pronounce in the story. In the moment that in the moment that I saw the movie I could predict who were Napoleon and Snowball.

    3- Were did Snowball went?

  4. 1. The imagery in the video helps send the dark tone for the book. The imagery I saw was how the characters look. It help me identify what each animal looked like.

    2. The video helped me visualize the characters in the situations presented such as the discussions between Napoleon and Snowball.

    3. Will the humans every come back?
