CHAPTER 6 & 7: INFO & ACTIVITIES
BLOG MIND MAPPING:
Today we will be working with the Slatebox tool that we learned to use last class. Each student will be paired up with another to work on a specific story element of Animal Farm. Each team will need to create the element with at least 4 supporting elements. Make sure to use describe well the supporting elements. You will later use the mind map in order to blog about a specific topic. We will be working on this activity at the same time as an entire class. How are we going to best work together?

In small groups, or individually, watch PART 3 & 4 ONLY of Animal Farm. Click the links to watch the YouTube video. Come prepared to discuss specific elements of the story that were made clearer to you after watching the movie. Also, think about how the movie and book differ. How is this helpful and harmful to your understanding of the content?
READING ASSIGNMENT:
Read Chapter 8 for next class. Be prepared for our "Carpet Talk" at the beginning of next class. Think specifically about the second battle and how the animals reacted during and after the battle. Was it the same? Was there the same sense of pride and accomplishment? Why or why not?
